Your notes are already stored as plain Markdown files on your device. You can access them directly through Finder or any file manager. To find your notes folder, go to Settings > Storage and look for the file path.
mrkdwn uses iCloud Drive for sync. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled in your device settings, then open mrkdwn and go to Settings > Sync. Your notes will sync automatically across all devices signed into the same Apple ID.
Go to Settings > AI and select your preferred provider. You can use OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local model. You’ll need to provide your own API key for cloud providers.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to your device’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find mrkdwn, and tap Cancel Subscription. You’ll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Yes. Notes stored in iCloud are encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple’s encryption. Local files are protected by your device’s file-system encryption. We never have access to your note contents.
You can delete your account in-app via Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@buenalabs.io. There’s a 7-day grace period during which you can cancel. See our Data Deletion page for full details.
