We started because the tools we wanted didn't exist.

Markdown editors that worked well on desktop fell apart on mobile. Apps with great mobile UX lacked the features writers need. And everything was locked into proprietary formats.

Our Story

So we built what we needed: apps that work everywhere, respect your files, and help you think clearly. That started with mrkdwn. Then we realized the monospace fonts we wanted didn't exist either. So we started drawing buena mono.
